The Chetboard

I seem to recall that you were having Kirk Sand modify the fretboard on your Khono guitar to be like the one on your signature model Kirk Sand guitar. I was just wondering if that ever happened and what you thought of the results? Kirk said he hoped to have a couple of the John Knowles model guitars completed by the end of the year. I hope to get a chance to try one.

Dan, Kirk has my Kohno at his shop but we haven't gotten around to doing the work. He had previously modified the neck profile. I wanted to put a slight radius on the fingerboard and go to a taller fret so my Kohno would feel more like my Sand. I've been enjoying my Sand so much I have let the Kohno work slide a little. Let me know when you get a chance to play one of the JK models Kirk is working on. John
