help for a mac user

Postby Norm » Sun Nov 24, 2013 1:50 am

I have a freind whose daughter convinced him to buy a mac. Apparently viewing YouTube videos on a mac takes some kind of special voodoo

Any solutions out there? Simpler the better

Don't know what the problem could be. I have an iMac and an iPad Mini. No problems at all, viewing or uploading. All I've ever used are Apple machines.

Update the flash player. GetAdobe.com/flash.

Also, what browser is he using? Have heard of Mac/YouTube issues if using FireFox. I use the standard Safari browser, and it works fine on my iMac.
Thanks,
George

Thanks, guys. It's going to take some time working thru this. I'm in CA and he's in AZ so there's going to be some work ahead of us

As long as the software is all up to date it should be as easy as on a PC.

Adobe Flash might need to be updated. It is what runs youtube clips.

The Adobe Flash is probably the issue. I'm still waiting for him to respond

Norm, I now own an iMac and use Safari, which is the standard Mac browser, and have no problem with YouTube videos.
